About Us

The Springfield Lake Recreation Association is a non-profit community association responsible for the management of Halifax Regional Municipality owned recreation facilities located in Middle and Upper Sackville. These facilities include soccer and baseball fields, parks, tennis courts and two rental halls.

Permanent staff pursue the Association’s objectives under the guidance of a volunteer Board of Directors. The Director’s are elected by the members at the Association’s Annual General Meeting.

All members are welcome and encouraged to join directors on various sub-committee’s that are formed to assist staff with various projects.

To build community spirit by promoting activities normal to the operation of a community centre; including social, recreational, leisure, educational, and charitable activities.
